Volunteer Opportunities

Throughout the year there are many opportunities to serve here at the Center, as well as the community at large.

Purpose & Mission

It takes a village . . . we believe in unity. It is our intention to serve not only our own spiritual community, but to be a light in our local community, as well as a light in the global community.

About Us

The Pacific Center for Spiritual Living offers many opportunities to serve our community. Specifics about the different volunteer positions at our Center can be found in the Volunteer section of the Programs Page. Click here to go to read all about our Volunteer opportunities.

Community Outreach

Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive Sundays, November 1, 8, 15, 22

We are sponsoring our annual "Caring and Sharing" Thanksgiving Food Drive in November.

We invite you to bring nonperishable food items, toiletries, paper goods, infant and toddler care supplies, and/or grocery store gift certificates to assist families in our area who are in need of help. We will accept your donations, here at the center, the first four Sundays in November (November 1, 8, 15, 22).

All your donations will be delivered to the South County Outreach Food Pantry which provides assistance to more than 900 families each month.

Thank you so much for assisting and supporting families who need our help.

Letters and cards to our Troops - In the months of August and September, we would like to collect letters, cards etc. to send to our troops overseas for the holidays. If you have children or grandchildren this would be a great project for them to do as well.

Tabs for Treatment - Please save your pull top tabs and fill the canisters available in the lobby.  For every pound of tabs collected, the hospital will donate one free Chemotherapy treatment for a needy individual. If you work in an office, please consider taking a can to your work break room.  Decorated cans will be available in the hospitality area but feel free to fill any container you want. This will be an ongoing project but lets set a goal of 100 pounds by the end of the year!  It only takes a second to take off the tab and it could mean saving a life.

Pennies for Teddy's - We will be collecting pennies to purchase teddy bears which will be distributed to the local children's hospital at Christmas time. For any of you that have been in the hospital at the holidays you know how lonely that can feel, now imagine you are a child and going through the same thing.  Let's give them some comfort and love by providing them with a teddy they can cherish. Decorated cans available in the lobby for collection purposes.
